While I personally don’t believe in dieting, the way on stay in shape is by roughly giving myself 500-600 calories for lunch and dinner. I don’t count calories for every meal, but when I’m about to fall off the wagon and order Chinese food or swing through the drive thru at Wendy’s I pull out my calorie counting app to see if my snack is actually worth it, or how much of it I should be eating. I never deny myself, but knowing that a plate of nacho’s at the Cheesecake Factory has 1,800 calories, helps me to keep in mind that it’s probably not a good idea to eat the whole plate and order Oreo cheese cake for dessert.
