Iman and David Bowie.
And most recently Tamara Mowry-Housley and her hubby Adam Housley are all members of the interracial-dating club. Or should I say interracial-marriage club.
A recent Gallup poll shows that a whopping 96 percent of blacks and 84 percent of whites approve of dating outside the race. Historically, blacks were the ones to approve of the interracial dating, but in recent years, the poll has shown that the divide in that theory has narrowed.
However, we’re always going to have haters. The poll also takes note that Southerners, those who did not earn their college education and Republicans disapprove. (Go fig!)
But how do you feel about it? A lot of men in the African-American community have made it no secret that they love women of all races, and even sometimes putting us, women of color at the bottom of the barrel. Actress Regina King has even gone on the record to instruct us to date outside of our race. But she isn’t the only one. Actress Garcelle Beauvais has done it and Academy Award winner Halle Berry is notorious for it.
So, ladies, would you date a white man? If not, what are your hesitations?
