I had an opportunity to try several products from a line that I’ve heard great things about. tgin Moist Collection. The full tgin Moist Collection was developed by Harvard graduate Chris-Tia Donaldson, and comes complete with five five individual products making up a five-step health care regimen. These products include tgin Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo, tgin Triple Moisture Replenishing Conditioner, tgin Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer, tgin Honey Miracle Hair Mask and tgin Twist & Define cream. I was able to review 4 out of the 5 products from the tgin Moist Collection as well as the tgin Argan Replenishing Hair & Body Serum.
I started by cleansing my hair with the tgin Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo. The shampoo is made up with a sulfate free formula which leases the hair clean and free of build up but more importantly, it does not strip the hair of its natural oils. I saturated my hair with water and added a generous amount of the shampoo, massaging my scalp and hair to remove dirt, grime and build up. It smells nice with a clean fragrance and lathers nicely.
After rinsing my hair out, I conditioned my hair with the tgin Triple Moisture Replenishing Conditioner. It’s full of argan oil, cupuacu butter and green tea. It hydrates, smooths and repairs parched strands, promoting healthy hair growth. Like the shampoo, it’s not heavy in scent but smells fresh. It’s a thick rich consistency and while applying the product I was able to easily finger detangle along the way.
Once my hair was thoroughly rinsed out, I applied the tgin Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer. It’s infused with shea butted and vitamin E, providing moisture, makes the hair soft shiny and manageable. I used this as my leave in conditioner but it can also be used as a setting cream. It’s creamy consistency made it easy to apply and my hair immediately felt soft.
Then it was time to set my hair with my rods. I used the tgin Twist & Define Cream for hold to set my hair. It contains coconut and vitamin E oils to add shine, long lasting definition, reducing frizz and fly aways. I was amazed that I didn’t have to use much of the product at all. I coated my hair with the cream as I went along and made sure to use my water bottle to keep the hair saturated while installing the rods.
I allowed my hair to set and dry over night and the next morning at take down, I used the tgin Argan Replenishing Hair & Body Serum to coat my hair as I separated the curls to add shine and reduce frizz. It contains coconut oil, olive oil, argan oil, peach kernel oil, jojoba oil. vitamin E and hibiscus flowers. This serum smells amazing!!!
